AMKdose is an interactive application, freely available, for amikacin initial dosage optimization. AMKdose can be useful for initial amikacin dosing selection when no individual pharmacokinetic information is available.
This app is based in population pharmacokinetics model developed in adult patients without severe renal impairment (<30 mL/min) and mostly with hypoalbuminemia (75%). The model has been externally validated and implemented in R with shiny and Rmarkdown for the interactive setting.
